Find a few good buddies and Start a Band!

Today we had band practice! It was inspired by Baby P's shirt which says "Drummer Needed". So we got out the drum, the Yo Gabba Gabba! Guitar, the alligator xylophone and a play keyboard and jammed away! This was an activity that they oth really enjoyed despite the age gap! I am a huge fan of using music as a learning tool and I really do believe that music is good for the mind and the soul! So make some music today!

And just for fun- what is your favorite song to sing to your little one?

Family Game Night!

Ok so it's not night time and it wasn't actually the whole family but you get the idea!

Playing games with kids is so much fun! It is so enriching as a parent to see your child learn. Today D (33 months) and I decided to play Hi Ho Cherry-O!

Games are great for teaching counting, turn taking, following directions, and good sportsmanship. D usually wins but he gets equally excited when I win! I also thought that it was especially cute when I got the dreaded "spilled basket" and had to put all of the apples back on my tree and he told me...

"It's ok, mommy. You can try again!"

So go play a game with your kids! What is your favorite game to play with your little one(s)?!

GIVEAWAY! Baby Genius/Baby Sac

I am a stay at home mom with an 11 month old and a 33 month old and I try to do something fun and enriching with my children every day. This blog is to share ideas with other moms as well as to motivate me on days when it might be easier to just pop in a video (yes we still have a vcr) than to really DO something. So my promise to you is to post a different activity everyday. Some days it might be a song or dance. Sometimes I will share a craft idea with you. When I feel inspired I will share a baking project and recipe. My basic goal here is to go 365 straight days doing something a little bit different everyday. I hope that you will try some of the things that I share and share your ideas back with me! I'm sure I will need some suggestions so feel free!
